Established in 1990 as a result of community meetings asking "What does Bismarck need?" The result was "more positive involvements for young people." Proceeding from thateetings asking "what does Bismarck need?Proceeding from there, a group of like-minded people were assembled and decided to focus on summer outdoor arts oriented events that would involve young people. The Sleepy Hollow park was on the edge of town at that time, totally undeveloped and not suitable for ball diamonds and other sports activities. Working with the Park District, we endeavored to develop it into what what it has become: a center for outdoor Broadway-style musicals and other events. "
